The first step in the process of using cannabis in any edible is to decarboxylate, or decarb your cannabis. This process activates the THC and CBD in your cannabis, giving the medicinal properties the forefront in your edibles. 

1. Grind your cannabis into small bits. Try to refrain from grinding it into a powder, as this can have the potential to slip through the cheese cloth or strainer you will be using for your infusion or extraction processes. 
2. Place your cannabis on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper into one layer.
3. Place baking sheet and cannabis in a preheated 240-degreeF oven. Try to monitor the temperature as best as possibly when using a conventional oven. If you have any kind of machines such as a Magic Butter Machine, just follow the instructions that come with the machine.
4. Bake for about 20-30 minutes, giving the cannabis a good shake occasionally to allow all sides of the cannabis to be exposed to the heat of the oven. 
5. Remove from the oven.
